The positioning of Rhone-Alps in international networks of excellence enables
- a dynamic international image of Rhone-Alpes and its players to be conveyed
- Rhone-Alpes to be differentiated as a region that is creative, innovative and open to the world
- strong partnership links to be developed with territories undertaking new initiatives
- experiences to be compared and projects to be developed
- inter-clustering between clusters from the region and their foreign counterparts to be encouraged
- various types of partnership to be facilitated: business, technological, training, etc…
These networks have a geographical dimension of cooperation between selected territories and an economic and technological dimension either by business sector, with significant participation by the competitiveness clusters, or transversal on the themes that are the priorities of the regional strategy such as competitiveness or innovation. They are comprised of various players mainly including regional Governments, institutions, economic development agencies, clusters, and other business partners.
